Welcome to Caroline G. Atkinson Intermediate School. Here, we are passionate about educating both the hearts and minds of our students. We believe that every child has the ability to learn, grow, and thrive when given meaningful instruction and opportunities to explore their unique talents.

At Atkinson, our goal is for every student to feel seen, valued, challenged, and inspired. We celebrate curiosity, creativity, and the many gifts our students bring to our classrooms and school community. Learning at Atkinson goes beyond academics. It is about nurturing confidence, resilience, and a love of discovery that will stay with our students for life.

We know that strong partnerships with families are key to helping students flourish. Together, we create a supportive and welcoming environment where every child can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We are proud of our students, grateful for our families, and excited for all the ways our learners will continue to grow, contribute, and make a difference in the world.

Warmly,

Atkinson Leadership Team

A strong partnership between families and schools helps students thrive. One of the best ways to become involved in your child's educational experience is by joining our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA plays an important role in supporting students, teachers, and school programs while helping to build a strong sense of community within our school.

By becoming a PTA member, parents and guardians have the opportunity to collaborate with school staff, share ideas, and contribute to activities that enhance the educational experience for all students. Members can attend meetings, volunteer at PTA-sponsored events such as book fairs, and support initiatives that help strengthen our school community. Join our PTA today!

To keep dismissal safe and smooth for all students, please remember:

  • Early dismissal ends at 1:50 pm. After this time, early pickups cannot be accommodated, as they disrupt dismissal operations. Students will then be released at 2:25 pm.
  • Notify the school before 1:50 pm if your child will not be taking the bus home. This helps us update dismissal lists and keep students safe.
  • Send a note in the morning or  call the main office if your child will be picked up early. Teachers are teaching and cannot check email during the school day.
  • Bring a photo ID when picking up your child. Safety is always our top priority.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe, organized, and on time for everyone!
